Today is Shaun Cassidy day, at least for me. It's not his birthday (that was 2 weeks ago ;-)) or anything of the sort, but a reply to my previous post somewhat compelled me to scour the web for photos and videos of my first crushie ever. With his all-American boyiss good looks, how could a 3 year old resist??
Come on everybody, get down, get with it.....
Could this look have inspired Menudo?

 | He's 49 can you believe it? :-) |
 | Back in the day, man. I knew he could sing and play the piano and the geeetar. |
 | I think now he writes and produces for these new TV shows like Invasion and Cold Case.
Thank god he didn't end up fat, bitter and in rehab for the nth time. Go Shaun :-) Heeeeeeeeeeeee...and lest anyone say my goth girl cover is blown...he did produce AMERICAN GOTHIC in 1995.
Say nyo...he he he. |
 | Tignan mo hitsura nila...parang naka inum sa Chemistry Set he he he...sarap siguro ng buhay nitong 2 in the late 70's, with all the chekas running after them. |
 | lagkat wrote on Oct 7, '07, edited on Oct 7, '07 Shaun was my crush, too! :-D My sister and I had both of those records, though I've no idea where they are now. It's possible they're still there at my parents' house.
Come to think of it, Shaun was probably the last wholesome, All-American celebrity crush I had. I didn't even like any blondes in the 80s except for Julian Sands and James Spader, mostly because of the roles they played.
I'm really glad to hear he didn't become one of those really pathetic has-beens who, apart from becoming bitter, publicity-hounding junkies, continue to wear the same clothes and hairstyles from when they were stars. See? Our crush on him wasn't misplaced! ;-) |
 | Wow. Blast from the past. I feel like looking for my sister's old Tiger Beat Magazines. =) |
 | OMG, Tiger Beat! Mine are gone, I want to kick myself now. Tiger Beat and 16! I'll be going back to Marikina Shoe Expo this weekend, I should actually go to the vintage store and scour for Tiger Beat!
Go Shaun.
And OMG Belle, thanks for just having the divine inspiration to put this up! |

He should've joined Disney hahaha!
Oh, and Julian Sands... :-P~ |
 | My sister bought that LP in Uni-Mart. Da doo run run run run, da doo run run every freaking morning.. Worst summer of my life. |
 | Hahaha! I can imagine your agony then! Did you counter it with Captain Beefheart? |
 | Belle...si Leif Garrett ata was the one who didn't age well and got picked up by cops several times he he he
I was made for dancing all all all all night long... |
 | yeah... i remember this guy. he came out in a movie with the sundance kid, you know? robert redford. man! great movie. i love the ending. they died, right? wow. |

I was made for dancing all all all all night long... I wouldn't be surprised. But even back then I didn't like him. Did you watch him when he came to town in the 80's? |
